UCD is hiring across all levels. Please find details of the Ad Astra fellowship programme on this website. This programme will operate over the next five years and aims to expand the academic staff numbers in UCD significantly across disciplines and career stages. In the first year, the programme will hire 65 assistant professors. UCD will also hire senior staff through a variety of mechanisms listed. Behavioural Science and Policy is a growing area in UCD and this scheme represents one way of joining our group here.

The UCD Geary Institute for Public Policy is pleased to announce our PhD Student Conference in Behavioural Science for 2018 in collaboration with the Stirling University Management School. This continues successful annual events held at Dublin and Stirling. The PhD conference will be held at University College Dublin on November 29th and will be followed by the 11th annual Irish economics and psychology conference on November 30th. The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) has led in the promotion and adoption of behavioural science research in public policy. This comment, by Liam Delaney of the Geary Institute (UCD), addresses a number of issues that must be faced by BIT and the wider behavioural public policy agenda as the field becomes institutionalised and normalised within public policy internationally, in particular issues of ethics and professional codes. 11th Annual Workshop on Economics, Psychology, and Policy in Ireland

The 11th Annual Workshop on Economics, Psychology, and Policy in Ireland will be held in the Geary Institute Seminar Room on the 30th of November, 2018. Applications are now open to those wishing to apply for the MSc in Behavioural Economics at UCD. This is is an exciting new course devoted to providing an in-depth training in the area of behavioural economics. Students will take a range of rigorous economic modules but will specialise in understanding a range of new models that incorporate the latest evidence on human decision making.
