We are hosting an EPA-funded Workshop on "Sludge and Administrative Burden" that will take place in Dublin, Ireland, on May 08, 2025. The Workshop will take place in the UCD Geary Institute's seminar room (directions here). What is "sludge"? In behavioural science, sludge describes unnecessary frictions that make it harder for us to do what we want to do. The Irish Economics and Psychology Conference has been taking place every year since 2008. The conference has grown tremendously reflecting the growth of the work at the edges of economics and psychology (e.g., behavioural economics, economics psychology, behavioural science, behavioural public policy, judgement and decision making) internationally and in Ireland. The purpose of the conference is to develop the links between Economics, Psychology, and cognate disciplines throughout Ireland. A special theme of these academic events is the implications of behavioural insights for public policy.
