New Thinking on Climate Change (Prof Andrew Oswald) UCD School of Economics are hosting the first Walsh-Neary Lecture, which will be held annually as the flagship public lecture in honour of Brendan Walsh and Peter Neary, whose contributions have had a profound and lasting impact on the UCD School of Economics. The Irish Economics and Psychology Conference has been taking place every year since 2008. The conference has grown tremendously reflecting the growth of the work at the edges of economics and psychology (e.g., behavioural economics, economics psychology, behavioural science, behavioural public policy, judgement and decision making) internationally and in Ireland. The purpose of the conference is to develop the links between Economics, Psychology, and cognate disciplines throughout Ireland. A special theme of these academic events is the implications of behavioural insights for public policy. We are hosting a Workshop on "Behavioural Public Policy and Participatory Governance" that will take place in Dublin, Ireland on June 05/06, 2023. We are hosting a Workshop on "Behavioural Science and Sustainable Food Consumption" that will take place in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday, October 26th, 1pm to 5pm. We are thankful for funding from the Royal Society of Edinburgh and Environmental Policy at UCD. The aim of the workshop is to bring together behavioural scientists who work on sustainable food consumption.
